Description
The Virginia Philatelist was a monthly publication produced in Richmond by the Virginia Philatelic Association from 1897-1901 under editor August Dietz. In the first issue he stated that the purpose of The Virginia Philatelist was “to give Virginia her first representative philatelic magazine; to compile and issue a complete and reliable directory of Virginia collectors and dealers, and to foster the interests of Philately in general."
