Title

Salvation Army Pathway of Hope Oral History Project

Description

The Salvation Army Pathway of Hope Oral History Project is a partnership between The Salvation Army of Roanoke, Virginia; the Virginia Room, Roanoke Public Libraries; and the Public History Program at Roanoke College. This oral history project is designed to provide select participants of the Salvation Army Pathway of Hope program with the opportunity to narrate and share their life stories with a public audience. We hope that these oral histories not only empower the narrators to tell their own tales but also inspire local and regional audiences to better understand the lives of their neighbors as well as the impacts of inter-generational poverty within our communities.
