Description
An account of the resource
Once known as the Barrens, the home of Dr. Francis Sorrel and Letitia Gamble Watts, the property was sold to Peter Huff in 1900. The property, situated within the city limits, was eyed by developers as a prime location for commercial interests. The Huff Family sold the farm in 1981. Construction on Valley View Mall began in 1983 with the mall opening in 1985.
