Description

A man, possibly the druggist, stands while looking at something in his hands. Man is inside Brooks Pharmacy. Numerous drugs, books, vials, and other medicinal tools are shown. A woman is standing at the window, assumedly to pick up a medication. Sign in the background reads, "Your Heath is Our Business".

On back of the drawing: list from 1-41; row 1 says, "M. green Shoe Shop," row 2 says, "George Pacific INS Co.," row 3 says, "Barber Shop," row 4 says, "North Carolina Mutual INS," row 5 says, "Virginia Theater Mr. Neighbors," rows 6 and 7 are blank, row 8 says, "High St. Church Noel Taylor," row 9 says, "Buster Webb Garage," and row 10 says, "Apartment - Williams Boy." The rest of the rows are blank. Story in The Times and Life on Henry Street (2012), p. 20. Displayed in the Harrison Museum of African American Culture Exhibit 2023-2024.
