One officer's baton is raised in the same direction as the boy's arm. A police car can be seen across the road from the figures. There is a street sign on the left reading "Gainsbo[ro]". Behind the police car is a brick building. In the distance on the right side is a large church. A smaller church can be seen on the left side. There are people walking near the police car. Artist signed and dated image as 1990, wrote "Gainsboro Communiety 1952".
