Behind it is a sign that reads "Webb's Garage". In front of the theatre, in the foreground, is a building with "North Carolina Mutral Ins", in the window. Above this window is another window with "Dr. Butlar DDS", written on the window. The door is partially visible and has "Nort- Caro-", written on the door, presumably North Carolina. There are people walking on the sidewalk and cars driving on the road. On the opposite side of the street are more, shorter, buildings. One has "Dr. Downi[?]" written on the window, and "Dr. Penn", above it. Next to this building is a church, likely High Street Baptist Church. In the background, the Norfolk and Western general office building can be seen (today the Roanoke Higher Education Center). There is a walkway bridge over the street in the background.
