Description

This image depicts Washington Park. Several school buses as well as cars and bicycles are featured. The school buses, from left to right, are labelled as "Wytheville Co.", "Henry Co.", "Bedford Co.", and "Cambel Co.". On the left side of the image, there are five men at the spring, two of which are drinking out of large bottles. On the right side of the image, the focus is on picnic tables and people congregating toward Lick Run creek. The bottom right corner of the image says "4th".

Featured in Gainsboro Road and Beyond, pp. 12, 46. Displayed at the Taubman Museum of Art Exhibit 2023-2024.
