This living history museum and nature center is located at Blue Ridge Parkway Milepost 115. Visitors experience the rich cultural heritage and natural beauty of western Virginia 15 minutes from downtown Roanoke. Features include a working blacksmith and farm, a schoolhouse frontier and Native American exhibits, as well as hiking trails, fishing, picnic facilities, and special events.
