Jackson students shoot
hoops to save lives.

Throughout the school year, Jackson
students and staff members demonstrated
their willingness to devote time, effon and
money to belp others. Our fund drive for
"Tsunami Relief" raised an impressive total
to aid victims of that disaster. "Hoops for
Heart" saw students playi.ng basketball to
raise money to fight two of our nation's
most deadly killers: hean disease and
stroke. We also worked to improve our own
community and school. The Morningside
tutors contributed their time and knowledge
to help elementary students succeed in
school. Our peer mediators were selected
for their ability to communicate with fellow
students, and they were given training to
enable them to help resolve problems
before they became more serious concerns.
