Title

DR-A139 Untitled (American Legion Auditorium)

Subject

Gainsboro; Wells Avenue; American Legion Auditorium; David Ramey.

Description

Drawing of the American Legion Auditorium, which was used for various purposes. The Auditorium is on the right side, and two people can be seen walking towards the doors. There are many people outside in the road and on the sidewalk, as well as cars and buses lined alongside the road. A bridge, presumably the Henry Street Bridge, can be seen in the background. Smokestacks for Norfolk and Western are visible behind the Auditorium as well, each with "N&W" written on them. There are houses and other buildings in the background. On the left there are many cars parked, likely waiting to be sold. There is a small building with "Happys Autos" written on the front. Next to it is a building with "Chicken Shack" on the front. There are crowds of people walking in front of the car lot, most walking in the direction of the Auditorium. There is a sign with "Yellow Cab" written behind the Auditorium.
