Description
"The late David A. Ramey captured images of life in Roanoke, many from memory. In images such as this these, he focused on the vibrant Gainsboro neighborhood, much lost to urban renewal efforts of the 1960s. Mr. Ramey's work is noted for his attention to the small details and the great effort he put into his work. 'If you expect to get anything out of it, you've got to put something into it,' wrote Mr. Ramey."
