Streetscape of the front of building, with a sign that says "Bowens Barber Shop". Three older men are outside of the shop, and a man in yellow is in the doorway, all watching a woman in pink walk by. In the doorway. On the outside wall, to the lieft, there is a sign with a picture of a pack of cigarettes that says "Smoke Kool Cigarettes". Beneath, there is a Coca Cola sign above a trashcan. Inside, a man gets his hair cut by the barber. Author signed and dated image in bottom right corner, wrote "Gainsboro 1959, Alfred Bowens, Barber Shop".
On the back of the paper he wrote "Bowens Barber Shop on Gainsboro" and "No #7".
